Ok, let us explain how the Ultra Ratzapper works and why you might consider one of these over the Classic Ratzapper model (the blue one).

The Ultra Ratzapper is heavier than the classic and the chamber is larger as well.  But both will easily kill rats, squirrels and of course mice.
But the Ultra takes larger batteries. It needs 4 alkaline "D" batteries.

These batteries are better suited for cold weather (like a cold room or barn or garage).
The larger batteries last longer as well.  They are about 4 times longer lasting than the AA batteries the Classic Ratzapper uses.

The size of the Ultra Ratzapper is:
about:  4" x 4-3/4" X 11-1/2"

Some of the benefits of the Ultra Ratzapper are:

1) Easily cleaned, rodent slides out of the Ratzapper and you don't touch anything (or even have to look inside).

2) Has a flashing red light on top of the unit which only goes off and starts flashing when you have a kill.  Sometimes we have to position the Ratzapper in a place a little hard to reach, like under a kitchen sick, or behind a fridge or under a deck.  Rats and mice are visually impaired and can not see the red flashing light very well, but you can.  Once you see it flashing you know you've got a rodent kill

3) Can be hooked up to our Rat-Tail, which like an extension to the red light.  First manufactured for the attic situation, where you set up the Ratzapper in the attic but don't want to keep climbing into your attic to see if you got a kill or not.  This extended Rat-Tail hangs its thin wire through your attic door, so when you see it light up, you know you've got another one.

4) The Ultra Ratzapper can be networked together with a dozen other Ultra Ratzappers to see all of them on a small computer screen.  When one of the Ratzappers kills a rodent, then the screen flash's a light beside one of the numbered Ratzappers, so you know where you got one.  Used in large plants or warehouses mostly.  Great for any large area.
